Cairneymount Church Conversion, Madiston, Falkirk

Despite becoming a redundant place of worship in recent years Cairneymount Church has over a 100 years of local history.

With two carefully crafted extensions on the south side of the original church building the lofty volume of the church has been subdivided into two houses, both of which benefit from original church features.

The project demonstrates how churches can be successfully re-used.  By blending strong ecclesiastical motifs with contemporary interiors a balance has been achieved and with it two homes of strong personality.
