Ochilview House, Falkirk

Ochilview House is built in the  grounds of a large Victorian villa. Mature trees sit on the boundary and existing dwellings surround the area on three sides.

The house is accessed via a small courtyard ‘discovered’ at the end of a long driveway. The overall size of the house is cleverly hidden by an intricate roof structure of gables and hips, which breaks down the massing of the building. Internally, a bright spacious hallway acts as the link for a split level plan with a bridge type gallery accessing the first floor accommodation. A very introverted building providing a wealth of intrigue and surprise.
